TANYA REITZEL

Tanya is a registered trademark agent, recognized to practice before the Canadian Intellectual Property Office and U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. She brings with her over ten years of experience in the field of intellectual property, specializing in trademark protection and copyright registration, as well as domestic and international Intellectual Property portfolio management. Tanya advises on regular and complex trademark issues, including searching, filing, prosecution, registration, opposition and expungement of trademarks in not only Canada, but also internationally through a network of qualified associates.

Tanya graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University in 1993 with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. Tanya is also an honours graduate of the two year legal program offered through Capilano College. As well, Tanya was the recipient of the Education Foundation Prize for the highest results in Canada on the trademark agent examination in her qualifying year.

Tanya presents seminars and lectures across Canada independently and through the Canadian Intellectual Property Office’s Bank of Speaker Program on the importance of Intellectual Property in today’s marketplace. In addition to assisting with the development of the on-line trademark agent training program offered through Intellectual Property Institute of Canada, Tanya was an instructor. She continues to offer her expertise as an instructor for the Intellectual Property course offered through Vancouver Community College.

Tanya is an associate member of the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada and a member of the Patent and Trademark Association of British Columbia. She is also a member of the International Trademark Association and The Vancouver Board of Trade.

PENNY BRADY

Penny is a registered trademark agent, recognized to practice before the Canadian Intellectual Property Office.

Penny has more than seven years of experience specializing in trademark protection, as well as domestic and international trademark portfolio management. She brings with her experience in managing the trademark portfolios of a variety of domestic and international clients, in the fields of sporting goods, forestry, electronics, alcohol, food, financial services, travel agency services, clothing and footwear, amongst others.

Penny advises on a variety of trademark issues, including searching, filing, prosecution, registration, opposition and cancellation proceedings, not only in Canada and the United States, but also internationally through a network of qualified associates.

Penny is a member of the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada, the Patent and Trademark Association of British Columbia and the International Trademark Association.

DEANNA SHANNON

Deanna has been a registered trade mark agent since 2003, recognized to practice before both the Canadian Intellectual Property Office and the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Deanna has been with Coastal Trademark Services since 2002. She has over nine years of experience in the field of intellectual property, specializing in trade mark prosecution as well as domestic and international intellectual property portfolio management. Deanna advises on regular and complex trade mark issues, including searching, filing, prosecution, opposition and registration of trade marks in not only Canada and the United States, but also internationally through a network of qualified associates.

In addition to assisting with the development of the on-line trademark agent training program offered through Intellectual Property Institute of Canada, Deanna was an instructor.
